Wine to accompany Foie Gras

The traditional accompaniment to foie gras in the U.K. is Sauternes. We feel that Jurançon and Gaillac Doux (having a little more acidity) are better (and cheaper!!) alternatives. Similarly Vin de Paille from the Jura and the more sherry-like Vin Jaune go with Foie Gras brilliantly. What's more the first 3 are also great dessert wines.
