Arbois Rosé Ploussard 2008 £11.50

This rosé is made like a red wine with no saignée (This is the process by which some coloration of the juice by the grape skins is allowed but not as much as when making a red wine) The skin of the Ploussard (or Poulsard) grape releases little colour. It has a taste of red fruits with a spicy, smoky base. A very satisfying, refreshing and unusual mouthful. Some tannin, so will develop well.
