Gaillac Rouge "Fricassou" 2013 12% 50 cl. £9.95
This special cuvée from 90% Braucol (AKA Fer Servadou) and 10% Duras is slightly wooded and in 50cl bottles.
Braucol wines are deeply red, full bodied, slightly rustic (but tannins are soft) and with tastes of blackcurrant, raspberry, cherry and red peppers!!! Fruity and fresh.
Great value for money.
"Fricassou" is what the locals call the road (D964) which comes up out of Gaillac towards Bicary. The name comes M. Carivenc AKA "Fricassou" who lived in a house (shown on the label) beside this road.
